Stephen James Barr

Stephen is a Senior Sophister Economics and Mathematics student. His duties include managing the accounts of the society and seeking sponsorship. Stephen is the winner of Galway Pro-Am 2017, a finalist at Cork IV 2016, a top 10 speaker at the Belfast IV 2016, and has countless judge breaks including Cambridge IV, Trinity IV and Cork IV. Previously, he was Debates Convenor and before that, he was Pro-Debates Convenor.

Kayleigh is a Junior Sophister Politics and Economics student. She is in charge of organising the weekly chamber debates and inviting guest speakers for them. Previously, she was Pro-Librarian and she broke as a judge at the Maynooth Open 2017.

Catherine Kelly

Catherine is a Senior Freshman Business, Economics and Social Sciences student. She organises the Maidens debating competition for novice debaters, which takes place during Michaelmas term, maintaining the records of the society and maintaining contact with the honorary members of the society. She broke at National Maidens 2017 and as a novice at the Maynooth Open 2017.

Tigran Simonian

Tigran is a Junior Sophister Nanoscience, Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials student. He is in charge of the public relations of the Hist, which involves running the social media accounts and website, designing posters and taking photographs during debates. He broke as a judge at the Galway Irish National Law Debates 2017. Previously, he was Pro-Librarian.

Liam Smith

Liam is a Senior Freshman Business, Economics and Social Sciences student. He organises the secondary schools debating competitions and manages the Hist library. Liam was a novice finalist at the Cork IV 2016 and broke as a speaker at the Maynooth Open 2017.

Julie Davis

Julie is a Junior Sophister History and Political Science student. She co-organises debating competitions such as the Trinity Open 2017 and the Trinity Womens Open. She also organises the travel to debating competitions nationally and internationally. She has judged for the Hist at the European University Debating Championships 2017.

Clare Elwell

Clare is a Senior Freshman Business, Economics and Social Sciences student. She makes sure that the members of committee are doing their jobs correctly and reaching their targets. She won the novice Irish Mace 2017 and won the pro-am competition at Galway Irish National Law Debates 2017.

Maria is a Senior Sophister Economics student. She is in charge of ensuring that every event complies with the society's equity policy so that the society is a safe and inclusive environment for all members. A novice finalist at Cork IV 2014, she was previously Pro-Censor.
