Catherine Kelly

Catherine is a Junior Sophister Business, Economics and Social Sciences student. As the Auditor, she is in charge of the general oversight of the society. She had seven speaking breaks, including National Maidens 2017, Trinity Women's Open 2018, and UCD Lawsoc IV 2018, and was also a semi-finalist of both the Irish Mace and Irish Times. She also has three judge breaks, including Glasgow Ancients 2018. However, her proudest achievement is winning Hist Maidens in 2016. Previously, she was Records Secretary.

Luke Fehily

Luke is a Junior Sophister Nanoscience, Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials student. He is the recipient of both the Naughton and Laidlaw Scholarships. His duties include managing the accounts of the society and acquiring funding. Previously, he was Pro-Treasurer of the society.

MJ Gillen

MJ is a Senior Freshman Law and German student. He is in charge of organising the weekly chamber debates and inviting guest speakers for them. He is also interested in German Language debating and spoke at Goethe Institut German Colours Debate in 2018.

Records Secretary 

Caoimhin Hamill

Caoimhin is a Senior Freshman Philosophy, Political Science, Economics and Sociology student. He organises the Maidens debating competition for novice debaters, which takes place during Michaelmas term. He is also responsible for maintaining the records of the society and maintaining contact with the honorary members of the society. He broke at National Maidens 2018 and spoke in the final of the UCD Pro-Am 2018.

Catherine O'Brien

Catherine is a Senior Freshman English Literature and French student. She is in charge of the public relations of the Hist, which involves running the social media accounts and website, designing posters and taking photographs during debates. She won best Novice speaker at the Maynooth Open 2018.

Donnchadh Curran

Donnchadh is a Senior Freshman English Studies student. He organises the secondary schools debating competitions. It is also his duty to manage the Hist library.

Doireann O'Brien

Doireann is a Senior Sophister History and Political Science student. She co-organises debating competitions such as the Trinity Open 2017 and the Trinity Womens Open. She also organises the travel to debating competitions nationally and internationally. She has over ten judge breaks, and also has five speaking breaks, which include speaking in the finals of both the Cork IV and the UL Open. She was previously Pro-Events convenor in the 247th Session.

Sophie Furlong Tighe

Sophie is a Junior Freshman TSM student. She plans the reception after every debate, organises the society's freshers week events and sponsors, and organises the Hist Ball. She broke as a speaker at the Galway Open 2018 and spoke in the novice final of the Maynooth Open 2018. She also has numerous judge breaks, including Cambridge Women's 2017. She also judged the final of the Glasgow Women's Open 2018.

Pierce Sinnott

Pierce is a Junior Sophister Nanoscience, Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials student. He makes sure that the members of committee are doing their jobs correctly and reaching their targets. Previously he was Pro-Censor in the 248th Session.

Kayleigh Newcomb

Kayleigh is a Junior Sophister Politics and Economics student. She is in charge of ensuring that every event complies with the society's equity policy so that the society is a safe and inclusive environment for all members. She broke as a judge at the Maynooth Open 2017 and the Trinity Women's Open 2018. She was also equity officer at both the Cork IV 2017 and the Trinity Open 2018. Before this, she was Pro-Librarian in the 247th Session, and was Correspondence Secretary for the 248th Session.
