The Hist has a large amount of experience working with a variety of different partners, and a large student community from a diverse set of backgrounds. Potential Opportunities
Headline Sponsorship
Becoming the headline sponsor of the Hist offers widespread co-branding and event opportunities, giving you prominent visibility at the most central location on campus and with some of the most varied student audiences in Trinity. The Headline sponsor’s brand is featured on all of the promotional material for our Chamber Debates and on our website, and has the opportunity to run numerous events with us throughout the year. The Headline sponsorship usually includes Grattan’s, our internal competition open to all Trinity students.
Competition Sponsorship
The Hist convenes a variety of different competitions, each of which can help you reach a different audience through an activity that they feel incredibly passionate about, building a strong positive association with your brand and giving you a chance to speak to them directly. These competitions include the Harney’s competition for women and gender minorities, the Maidens’ Competition for first time debaters, the Freshers Masters competition, the Hist Schools Mace for Leaving Certificate students and the Hist Girls Mace for female and non-binary Leaving Certificate students. We are also open to running other competitions and theming parts of the competitions around your business.
Event Sponsorship
The Hist runs a variety of its own events across Freshers’ Week and Refreshers’ Week, as well as throughout the year, which can be great chances to engage with students in a unique way that suits your brand. Previous sponsored events have included workshops, talks, CV clinics, information sessions, quizzes and social events. We are always happy to speak with you about the audience you are trying to reach and what types of events might work best to reach those students. We also frequently collaborate with other societies giving us good relations across campus, so can serve as an entry point to interactions with many different groups of students even outside of our own large membership base.
Social Media Sponsorship
The Hist has a strong presence on social media with about 2,700 followers consisting primarily of Trinity students, a monthly reach of over 6,200 people and an engagement rate of over 10%. We also have a weekly email that goes out to our 3,000 active members and consistently scores an open rate of 50-60%. Given the Hist’s audience of engaged and hard-working students, either of our channels can be great ways to spread awareness of your internship program, student deals or other initiatives.
